Facebook is celebrating the holidays with a beautiful, but somewhat cryptic message on its pages that reads, “Welcome to our holiday spirit.”
The message is accompanied by a post by Facebook’s chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, who writes, “We want to take this moment to thank all of you for all of your support, love and encouragement during this difficult time.
We know that everyone is heartbroken and heartbroken for everyone in the world.
The world will never be the same.
We will never again be so united and connected.”
Facebook’s message on the page says that “this holiday season, we will do our part to make the world a better place for everyone.”
Sandberg also says, “It’s a holiday season in the heart of a country where our families are in danger, our schools are under threat, our streets are choked with crime and our hospitals are overwhelmed.
But we can all do something to help.”
As the Facebook page continues, Sandberg asks, “What can we do to help?
What can we offer to help?””
We are so thankful for the kindness of strangers, our neighbors, and our loved ones, but we need your help to make sure we have the tools to bring these tragedies and injustices to an end,” she says.
Sandberg is also asking people to join the hashtag #holidayspirit.
